African Women Agribusiness Network - Uganda Chapter (AWAN-UG) is a network of women entrepreneurs involved at various levels of Agricultural value Chains.

Vision

Empowered women entrepreneurs able to participate at the same level as men at all nodes of agricultural value chains

 Mission

Support women in Agribusiness achieve the success they want, by empowering, connecting, training, inspiring, campaigning, promoting, celebrating and supporting them in a professional manner.

Objectives

  1. Women occupy an increasing number of diverse roles in agribusiness value chains.
  2. Women and girls are skilled, capable and confident influencers and decision makers in the agribusiness sector.
  3. The barriers that currently hinder women in agribusiness are understood and addressed through research and knowledge sharing.
