Documenting the lived experiences of women in Agribusiness during the COVID-19 crisis to inform advocacy and policy responses in Uganda
Introduction
The Graca Machel Trust (GMT) through her networks in Uganda (Africa Women Agribusiness Network (AWAN), Women in Media Network Uganda Chapter, Network of Women in Business (NAWB), Women in Finance and Women in Extractives is carrying out a study to document the lived experiences of women in Agribusiness during the COVID-19 crisis. The purpose of this activity is to use the stories and experiences in developing advocacy strategies and interventions that will help women entrepreneurs to recover from the adverse impact of COVID-19. Considering the peculiar challenges women in agribusiness often face, we are seeking to establish the social, economic effect of COVID – 19 on their lives, measures that they took to contain the impact, what could have been done by stakeholders as well as what needs to be done going forward. Please spare a few minutes of your time to share your story for the betterment of business environment and competitiveness of women led enterprises.
